In this refurbishment, we combined practicality with warmth to transform a residential care home into a place that truly feels like home. The design focused on improving comfort, safety, and accessibility, with widened walkways, supportive furnishings, and improved lighting throughout. Neutral, soothing tones were paired with uplifting artwork to create a sense of calm while still bringing personality to each room. Communal areas were reimagined to encourage social interaction, while private spaces were tailored to provide a sense of privacy and dignity. Every choice was made to enhance both the residents’ daily lives and the working environment for the dedicated care staff.
